Trauma-Informed EMDR Intensives for Nevada Professionals
You don’t have a schedule that allows for months of therapy. You need a clinical intervention that matches the pace of your life. An EMDR Intensive isn’t just therapy. It is a high-impact, condensed immersion designed to resolve years of stored tension in a matter of days. Stop managing the symptoms and start clearing the path for what’s next.
Accelerated Healing for High Achievers
For many high performing professionals in Nevada, the traditional model of therapy, meeting for 50-minutes once a week for months or even years, is not just slow; it’s often an inefficient use of your limited time, making it feel like you’re only ever scratching the surface before the hour is up.
You don’t have to keep working around the triggers and safety strategies that have been quietly running the show for years. I offer virtual EMDR Intensives designed for people who prefer a results driven approach to trauma work.
Many of my clients are driven professionals, business owners, physicians, attorneys and executives who expect their mental health care to be as efficient as their own professional standards. Whether navigating the high stakes environment of the Las Vegas Strip, the tech corridors of Reno or the legal hubs in Carson City, your therapy should meet the same professional standard you hold for yourself.
If you’re ready to address the trauma related anxiety patterns, chronic burnout or relational stress that keep surfacing, an intensive allows you to do the heavy lifting from your own home without the frustration of the I-15 commute or the draining 110°F summer heat.
What Is an EMDR Intensive?
An EMDR Intensive is a concentrated block of therapy, typically delivered over one to three days, instead of traditional weekly sessions. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), targets the neurological storage of traumatic events. An intensive addresses this issue by allowing your brain to file away old triggers so they no longer interrupt your present day performance.
Rather than spending months talking about the same patterns, intensives allow us to:
- Interrupt the circuit in your nervous system that leads to overreaction or shutdown during high pressure moments.
- Clear the emotional weight of specific professional setbacks or personal experiences that still feel raw today.
- Install a grounded mindset, replacing the internal critic that says you’re not enough.
- Develop a mental roadmap for future stressors, so you leave the intensive with a toolkit that actually fits your lifestyle.
This model is built for the professional who values their time, someone who wants to solve the problem at its source rather than managing it indefinitely.

Why Nevada Clients Choose Intensives
Many of my Nevada clients share a similar profile. They are high performing, accustomed to operating at a high level, yet privately struggle with a nervous system that does not power down. They often move to places like Summerlin, Henderson or Lake Tahoe for a better life, only to find their struggles followed them.
While traditional therapy helps you understand why you feel this way, an intensive is designed to help your body and mind actually stop feeling and thinking this way.
- Faster Symptom Reduction: By dedicating 3-6 hours to a single session, we allow the brain to stay in a high processing state long enough to resolve complex triggers that a 50-minute session simply cannot reach.
- Uninterrupted Neural Processing: Once we open a specific memory or target, we stay with it until the emotional charge is gone, rather than stopping mid-process because the hour is up.
- Complete Emotional Containment: By working in blocks, we can process through difficult parts of a memory and reach a place of resolution before you return to your daily life.
- Discreet, Virtual Access: High profile professionals in smaller Nevada communities, from Boulder City to Lake Tahoe, can access specialized trauma care without the concern of sitting in a local waiting room.
What Results Can You Expect?
While every clinical outcome is unique, the goal for my Nevada clients is a measurable shift from constantly on to intentionally present.
We target the intersections of trauma and high-stress burnout. Depending on the complexity of your goals, we structure 6 to 18 hours of work to ensure we reach a resolution, not just a temporary reprieve.
The real world ROI of this work is the ability to actually enjoy your life. It’s the difference between being at Red Rock Canyon while mentally auditing your inbox and actually feeling the sun on your face and a sense of genuine quiet.
How EMDR Intensives Work: Your 4-Step Path
This isn’t about endurance; it’s about efficiency. We pace the time to keep you within your window of tolerance, the zone where your brain actually does its best processing work.
- Consultation: We meet virtually to discuss your history and determine if your current goals are a match for the intensive format. We’ll make sure the time is right for you to do this deep work.
- Preparation: We meet for an in-depth assessment of your struggle, clarifying exactly which memories or patterns we are going to target. We also work on resourcing, building specific mental tools to help you stay grounded and in control during the processing phase.
- Intensive Sessions: This is where the heavy lifting happens. We move through the target memories in extended blocks, allowing your brain to fully process and file away old triggers without interruption.
- Integration: You receive a follow up session to ensure your progress is translating into your real life. We check in on how your nervous system is responding to old stressors and solidify the new, more adaptive ways you’re thinking and reacting.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Virtual EMDR Intensives are just as effective as in-person sessions. Many of my Nevada clients actually find they can go deeper into the work when they are in their own safe, familiar environment rather than a clinical office. We use a secure, HIPAA compliant telehealth platform for sessions.
No. Because I am a 100% virtual practice, I can work with any adult currently located in the state of Nevada. Whether you are in Enterprise, Reno, or Carson City, you can access specialized trauma care without the need for travel.
Absolutely. The intensive format is actually ideal for professionals who travel or have unpredictable schedules. Instead of trying to squeeze in a weekly appointment between trips, an EMDR Intensive allows you to block off a dedicated 1-3 day window to make massive progress. As long as you are physically within the state of Nevada (or my other licensed states), we can move forward with your healing.
Typically, no. While I am an in-network provider for Aetna for weekly sessions, most insurance plans do not currently cover the EMDR Intensives format. Because an Intensive involves several hours of deep processing in a single day, it does not fit into the traditional insurance model.
EMDR Intensives in Nevada are offered as a private-pay specialty service. My clients often find that the upfront investment is balanced by rapid progress you experience in a single weekend, saving you from the time commitment of long term weekly sessions.
Due to the specialized nature of this work and the availability of dedicated weekend sessions, the current rate for an Intensive is $325 per hour. You can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Savings Account (FSA) to pay for the entirety of an intensive.
Yes. I understand that an EMDR Intensives is a significant upfront investment into your long-term mental health. To make this accessible, I offer flexible payment options. Many clients prefer the intensive model because it condenses 6-7 months of weekly therapy into one to three days, saving you both time and the long-term cost of weekly sessions. Please bring this up in our initial consultation.
