Hi there,
I’m Judy Wang
In my own search for a therapist, I’ve had a mix of experience. Some good and some not so great. Those moments taught me just how vital the therapeutic relationship is to the healing process. Therapy isn’t just about techniques or tools; it’s about connection, trust and feeling safe enough to show up as your whole self. That’s why I’ve built my practice around creating a space where you can feel heard, understood and supported without judgment.
While we can’t change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life.
My Specialities
~ Anxiety and People Pleasing
I specialize in helping people who feel trapped in the grips of anxiety and the overwhelming pressure to meet everyone else’s expectations.
I work with people who feel stuck in cycles of people pleasing. Constantly navigating anxiety and burnout from always trying to be everything to everyone. If you’ve ever felt trapped by the need to meet the demands of family, friends or colleagues, I want you to know it doesn’t have to stay this way. Whether you’re a teen navigating the tricky transition toward independence or an adult ready to step out from under the weight of others’ expectations, I’m here to help.
My approach is compassionate yet direct. I’ll walk alongside you as you face the fears and patterns that hold you back. I’ll help you learn to set boundaries, quiet the self-doubt and find the confidence to prioritize yourself without guilt. Together we’ll build a life where you feel valued, respected and truly at peace.
~ Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
I also help those with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) break the cycle of rituals and compulsions.
If you’re living with OCD, you might feel like your own mind is working against you. Doubting what you know to be true, pulling you into rituals you want to stop but can’t or leaving you mentally and emotionally drained from the constant battle. I understand how exhausting this can be and how isolating it might feel. Together, we’ll work toward breaking free from OCD’s grip and reclaiming your time and sense of control.
Using the evidenced based approach of Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), we’ll face your OCD head on. We’ll break the cycle, especially when it feels like OCD is always one step ahead. I also know how powerful it can be to reclaim your time, your energy and your sense of control. Together, we’ll work toward a life where OCD no longer calls the shots.
~ Trauma and EMDR
I also work to help people who feel trapped by the lingering effects of trauma. Those moments or experiences that may still feel too raw or too overwhelming to face. Whether it’s the sharp sting of past events or a constant, underlying heaviness that clouds your present, I want you to know that healing is possible.
Through Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), we’ll work together to gently explore and process those memories. Helping you find a way to release the emotional charge they hold over you. EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps your brain process and integrate those memories in a way that allows you to move forward with clarity and peace.
Trauma can often feel like a weight you carry everywhere. Affecting your relationships, your confidence and your sense of safety in the world. My approach is both compassionate and steady, offering a safe space where you can process at your own pace. Whether you’re navigating the effects of a single traumatic event or the long shadows of complex trauma, I’m here to help you reclaim your life.
What You Can Expect
Therapy is a deeply personal experience. I want you to feel comfortable bringing your whole self into our work together. All the fears you haven’t shared with anyone, the thoughts you’re worried might be “too much” and the parts of yourself you’re still figuring out.
I’ll meet you with empathy and curiosity. But I’ll also gently challenge you when it’s time to take those first steps toward change. My goal is to help you feel empowered. Not just to understand what’s holding you back but to move forward with confidence and clarity.
Whether we’re working on resisting compulsions, processing past trauma or letting go of people pleasing, I’ll be right there with you. Therapy is hard work but it doesn’t have to feel impossible and you don’t have to do it alone.

A Little More About Me
I take care of my two rescue dogs, Lucy and Archie. They generally stay quiet when I’m working but sometimes they want to provide therapy to my clients too. Archie was working on becoming a certified therapy dog before the pandemic but now he’s unemployed. Lucy just wants love and food.
They are available for coaching sessions and take treats as payment.
